Swim Team

Glen Cove Marlins

The Glen Cove Marlins Swim Team is a neighborhood summer tradition, bringing together swimmers ages 5–17 for a fun and competitive season. We compete in a local swim league against nearby clubs, building skills, confidence, and friendships along the way.

Whether your swimmer is just getting started or already experienced, our goal is to help every child improve at their own pace and feel part of the team.

Our program is proudly run by student coaches and parent volunteers, and we encourage families to be involved in meets, events, and team activities throughout the season.


Who Can Join

To join the team, swimmers must:

  • Be between the ages of 5 and 17
  • Be a current family member of Glen Cove Swim Club
  • Be able to pass a brief swim assessment with our coaches

Annual Parent Meeting: May 17, 2026, 4:30 - 6:30pm

      • All are welcome to come learn more about the program, meet the Director and Coaches, and get your questions answered. You do not need to stay the entire time!

Fees for Summer 2026 are as follows:

  • 1 Swimmer: $130
  • 2 Swimmers: $250
  • 3 Swimmers: $360
  • 4 Swimmers: $460
  • 5+ Swimmers: $110 per swimmer

Registration Open: April 8, 2026

Registration Close: May 31, 2026

Practice Schedule

All practices take place at Glen Cove Swim Club, with sessions broken out and scheduled by age group.

  • Days of Week: Monday - Thursday
  • Times:
    • 7:15 - 8:00 am | All ages
      • This session is only for swimmers who cannot make their scheduled time. Availability is limited and sign-up is required.
    • 8:00 - 8:45 am | 5 - 8 years old
    • 8:45 - 9:30 am | 9 - 12 years old
    • 9:30 - 10:15 am | 13+ years old

Donuts and ribbons are given out after practice each Monday after a swim meet.

Orientation: May 27 - 28, 2026

      • For any and all swimmers already out of school and ready to get started. Attendance is not required, but certainly encouraged. Standard practice times by age group still apply.

First Day of Practice: June 1, 2026

End of Season Party: July 12, 2026

Meet Calendar

The swim meet schedule is comprised of six meets competing against three other local pools, ending with one all-pool invitational. The invitational is an all-day event consisting of a morning and afternoon session.

You must register each Sunday prior to a meet in order to attend. In the event of inclement weather, meets are made up the following Monday evening.

SWIM TEAM IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO ACTIVE GLEN COVE SWIM CLUB MEMBERS.

ALL INTERESTED FAMILIES MUST FIRST JOIN GLEN COVE SWIM CLUB WITH A FAMILY MEMBERSHIP BEFORE REGISTERING.
